NAMCAR MEMORIAL DAY CLASSIC Poughkeepsie Speedway May 25, 2008 This was one beautiful day! The sun was shining and temps were warm. In the Sr Open Heat Freddie Ballard Showed the way followed by Andrew Miller and then Jimmie Vail. In the Sr Open Feature Ballard led the pack but Vail was on the prowl ---on the last lap Jimmie Vail went for the pass to win but looped in turn 4 leaving Fast Freddie winning and Andrew Miller second.. The Jr Futures stars heat race went off with Shawn Pavlik on the pole with Dylan Vail second. Wes Wagner pulled another "bad" pill and started shotgun. At the green flag Wagner got by Vail then followed Pavlik for several laps. Wagner then got the job done and went on to win with Pavlik 2nd and Vail 3rd. The Jr Future Stars Feature: Wes Wagner went off on the pole and showed the way the whole race however, he fought a deteriorating car at the end but held on to win with Shawn Pavlik second and Dylan Vail 3rd. |
